How to Access Your Venmo QR Code

Your username, along with your Venmo QR code, will appear on the screen.

If you are near the person who is sending you a Venmo payment, you can simply display the QR code on your screen for them to scan. However, there are many instances where people exchange money on Venmo without being in close physical proximity to each other. You can share your Venmo QR code to anyone by following these steps:

First, open the Venmo app and press Pay/Request in the center of the bottom menu bar.

Next, tap Scan or show QR code (directly under the search bar).

When your QR code appears, choose Share. This will open a dialog box so you can share the Venmo QR code via text message, email, or another available method.

Once you select how to share, it will send a URL to your Venmo profile and a Venmo QR code to the selected person (or people).

How to Scan a Venmo QR Code to Send Payments

Your Venmo QR code makes it easy to receive payments, and scanning others’ codes makes it easy to send payments to friends, family, or businesses.

If someone has a QR code to share, you can open the Venmo app and then select Pay/Receive in the bottom menu bar.

Next, choose Scan or show QR code to enter the Venmo Me section. However, instead of displaying your code, you must select Scan Code at the top of the page. This will allow you to scan someone else’s Venmo QR code.

Once scanned, you will be redirected to the person’s Venmo profile, where you can send them a payment. To do this, simply click the transaction option in the bottom right corner of the screen.
