There isn’t always an available outlet to quickly charge your phone, tablet, smartwatch, or the other small gadgets you depend on daily. The Shargeek 170 Power Bank aims to give you ample power anywhere to stay connected and powered up.

Eye-Catching Transparent Prism Design

Before I dive into how well the Shargeek 170 Power Bank works, I have to talk about the design itself. This isn’t your typical black box that looks like a small external hard drive. No, this is an eye-catching design you’ll want to keep out on display.

It’s a transparent prism that allows you to see all the inner workings. Plus, the three sides mean it’s never going to just roll off a surface. The rounded corners are also a nice touch.

Surprisingly, the display still stands out, even with all the components surrounding it. I received the white version, which simply means each end is white. The display is easy to read and uses different colors to quickly see what’s going on. It tells you the following:

  • Recharging/charging time
  • Remaining battery
  • Output
  • Input
  • Alerts

One end features three USB ports and a power button. That’s it. The power button lets you turn it off or power it up to check remaining capacity. The power bank automatically turns on and starts charging when a device is connected.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about how it looks. But, of course, it also has to work just as well.

Built to Last for Years of Use

The Shargeek 170 Power Bank contains six electric vehicle grade batteries for a total capacity of 24,000mAh. Even after 800 charges, it’s designed to retain at least 80% of the original capacity. It’s a power bank you’re not going to have to replace every year or two.

If you’re like me and tend to eat and drink around your electronics, forget about worrying when you inevitably spill water, coffee, or whatever you’re drinking around the Shargeek 170. It’s IP66 water resistant, keeping it safe against your snacking and drinking splashes. Naturally, I wouldn’t recommend pouring your drinks on it to test that, but if a splash happens accidentally, you won’t have to buy another power bank.

Charge Three Devices at Once

Thanks to the large battery capacity, the Shargeek 170 Power Bank easily handles up to three devices at once. It’s compatible with over 1,000 devices, including phones, tablets, laptops, portable game systems, watches, headphones, etc. If you can charge it with a USB cable, this power bank probably charges it too.

Even better, it supports fast-charging on three devices, as long as your device is compatible with fast charging. Otherwise, it’s just normal speed. But, it can charge a device from 0% to 50% in under 20 minutes.

The power bank features three ports: 2 USB-C input/output and 1 USB-A output only.

While it only supports 140W input, it supports up to 170W output. With smart power distribution, power is distributed based upon the type of device and its power needs. This helps your devices charge faster and more efficiently.

Don’t worry about babysitting the power bank, either. It features:

  • Over/under voltage protection
  • Overload protection
  • Overcurrent protection
  • Short circuit protection
  • Overheat protection

In my own tests, the power bank barely got lukewarm, even with three devices charging at once.

Compact Design With Carrying Case

The power bank is compact and only 6.5 in x 2.47 in x 2.35 in. Additionally, it only weighs 1.5 lbs.

While you can add a hardshell protective case (sold separately), the Shargeek 170 Power Bank comes with a sleek drawstring bag to keep it clean while it’s not in use.

The power bank also comes with a lengthy USB-C to USB-C braided cable and an instruction manual.

Everything included with the Shargeek 170 power bank.

I do have one problem with what’s included. There’s no adapter. You have to either have an outlet/power strip with a USB-C port or need to buy a separate USB-C adapter to charge the power bank. Sadly, too many electronics aren’t including the adapter.

Charging My Devices

Now for the moment you’ve been waiting for: does the Shargeek 170 Power Bank live up to its claims? The short answer is yes.

For my first test, I only charged a single Samsung Galaxy S23+ phone. It was sitting at 56% when I connected it. It immediately began charging. In less than 30 minutes, it was fully charged, and the power bank still had 87% charge on it.

For reference, the power bank is supposed to charge:

  • iPhone 15 Pro up to five times
  • MacBook Pro once
  • Nintendo Switch twice
  • iPad Pro twice
  • Drone twice

I next performed the following test without recharging the power bank:

  • Samsung Galaxy S23+ at 64%
  • Dragon Touch tablet at 20%
  • LG Velvet at 20%
Charging two phones and a tablet with the Shargeek 170 power bank.

All three devices immediately started fast-charging. After one hour, all three devices were fully charged, and the power bank had only dropped to 52%. At this point, I was fairly impressed. And, as I stated before, the Shargeek 170 was barely warm.

In my attempt to finally drain the power bank to see what it was capable of, I tried charging three devices again:

  • Samsung Galaxy S23+ at 52%
  • Samsung Galaxy S23+ at 30%
  • LG Velvet at 29%

This time, I succeeded in draining the power bank. However, two devices fully charged and the Samsung at 30% made it to 95% before the power bank cut off.

Never Run Out Of Power With The Shargeek 170 Power Bank Third Test

After recharging the power bank, I tried charging my Nintendo Switch. It was at about 30%. The Shargeek 170 Power Bank took it to 100% in just over an hour and only dropped to 62%.

After repeating similar tests over the course of a week, I continually got the same results. I could fully charge a phone approximately five to six times before I needed to recharge the power bank.

Recharging the Power Bank

There’s no denying this power bank is fully capable of recharging your electronic life. The compact design makes it easy to carry and charge on the go. It’s even airline safe for traveling.

But what about recharging the power bank itself? From zero, it takes just over four hours to recharge. Considering the capacity, this is actually good. When you’re sitting around watching TV, plug it in, let it recharge, and it’s ready for the next time.

Power When You Need It

The Shargeek 170 Power Bank is a must-have for emergencies, traveling, or any time you need to recharge devices but don’t have an outlet on hand. The small form factor makes it super easy to slip in a purse, suitcase, briefcase, etc. Plus, it looks absolutely amazing!

Outside of it not including an adapter, I do wish there was a textured area on it. The power bank is slick, so handle it carefully. I almost dropped it twice while reviewing it.

Otherwise, this one is replacing all my smaller power banks that have already started wearing out after just a year or two. Grab your own Shargeek 170 Power Bank from Sharge for just $199.99.
