Cordless stick vacs make cleaning up messes easier than ever, but they don’t always clean as well as their corded counterparts. The Honiture Cordless Vacuum Cleaner S14 seeks to bridge the gap with a variety of features to make cleaning every room far less of a chore. I recently took this vacuum for a test drive to see how well it works.

Overview of Features

I was immediately impressed with the feature set for the Honiture Cordless Vacuum Cleaner S14. Two of my must-have features are included: multiple suction settings and a light. The S14 features three suction modes: Eco, Mid, and Max for up to 40 Kpa suction. The 200,000 rpm brushless motor keeps up with anything you throw at it.

An impressive 55-minute battery life lets you clean for far longer than many comparable cordless vacuums. Of course, this is on the lowest suction level, but the product description promises around 18 minutes at the highest level. It’s even made to prevent undercharging, overheating, and other common issues.

Speaking of the battery, it can be charged in around five hours, and the OLED display shows the current percentage. It’ll also display whether there’s a blockage in the brush head.

The large brush roller features a V-shape to help you clean deeply, which is especially useful for pet hair. It’s even designed to clean more effectively around corners and edges.

The multi-cone cyclone filtration system helps drastically reduce any clogging in the seven-stage filtration system. Plus, it comes with an aromatherapy packet that fits in with the filter to lightly scent your home while cleaning.

An unexpected feature is the indention under the battery. This helps you lean the vacuum against furniture to hold the vacuum in place if you need to temporarily stop. I was also pleasantly surprised to see the vacuum height is adjustable to be more ergonomic.

To make it even easier to clean, the vacuum comes with two attachments for dusting and crevice cleaning. Simply detach the main bar or just the brush head itself and attach your desired tool.

In the Box

Everything you need to start cleaning immediately is right in the box. Mine was even charged to around 60%, so I could do a quick test before the first charge. The Honiture Cordless Vacuum Cleaner S14 comes with:

  • Extra filter set
  • Adapter
  • Battery
  • Brush head cleaner tool
  • Two accessory tools
  • Aromatherapy packet
  • Manual and quick start guide
  • Hanging bracket and screws

Honestly, the quick start guide is all you really need to put everything together and understand how to use it. There’s only two buttons to deal with: the power button and the mode button. I do wish they had a bit more space between them, as it’s easy to press the wrong button when changing modes. I accidentally turned the vacuum off several times until I got used to it.

At the moment, I didn’t have anywhere to hang the bracket, but it seems fairly sturdy to me. Instead, I leaned the vacuum in a small closet with other cleaning tools.

It took around 2.5 hours to charge the first time, from roughly 45%. From 10%, it took around five hours. I was thoroughly impressed that the battery didn’t even get warm during the process.

Vacuuming with the Honiture Cordless Vacuum Cleaner S14

First, let me say this cordless vacuum is a dream to maneuver. The brush head angles perfectly and can fit under furniture as low as 2.35 inches from the ground. I’ve also never used a vacuum that handles edges as effectively. I have multiple cats, and cleaning up litter around the boxes usually leaves quite a bit right against the boxes, leaving me to sweep it up.

The suction is truly impressive. What would usually take me several passes to clean up only takes one, maybe two. Cat hair comes up with no problem, making my carpets and rugs look amazing.

The Honiture Cordless Vacuum Cleaner S14 got almost all of it in just one pass. Plus, the extra bright LED lights made it easy to see what I was cleaning.

The Eco setting is kind of quiet and does well for wood floors. I found the Mid setting did best for low-pile carpets and rugs. It didn’t suck up the edges of rugs often. I do have a few thicker rugs that required Max to clean them thoroughly, but the vacuum left them looking like new.

Don’t get me wrong, the suction power is great with all three settings, but I think Mid does the best at giving you the most cleaning power for most floor types.

What got me most excited was the battery life isn’t exaggerated! Most devices can’t come close to delivering on battery life. But, on Mid, I was able to vacuum for around 35 minutes. On Max, I got around 20 minutes. This fits perfectly with what’s promised.

The main issue I encountered was the brush head gets wrapped up in hair quickly and needs to be cleaned. For me, I needed to clean it every other vacuuming. I do have long hair and cats, but you’ll want to keep a check to make sure the brush isn’t getting clogged up. The cleaning tool works really well for this task, though.

Attachments and Cleaning

The two attachments work extremely well. I love that you can choose to use the brush or not on the one attachment just by pressing a single button. Of course, the crevice tool works just as you’d expect. The tools also attach and detach easily. Surprisingly, the lowest suction setting, Eco, did quite well with these tools and made quick work of getting dirt out of tight spaces.

Accessory tools with the Honiture Cordless Vacuum Cleaner S14

My only other problem with the Honiture Cordless Vacuum Cleaner S14 is emptying the canister. While I appreciate that it doesn’t come off too easily, it’s fairly slick and doesn’t release well. Then, when I tried to put it back on, it’s just as difficult to reattach. I always felt like I was going to break one of the brackets the canister hooks to.

However, I love that the canister itself has a handle at the top to pull out the filter, so you never have to get your hands dirty when dust bunnies get stuck around the metal filter area.

Final Thoughts

The Honiture Cordless Vacuum Cleaner S14 is truly an impressive vacuum that helps make daily – and even occasional cleaning – a bit easier. With a bright light, long-lasting battery, and smooth maneuverability, it’s a great addition to almost any home. It does have a few small issues, but they’re pretty easy to overlook. Plus, the aromatherapy packet leaves your home smelling nice when you’re done.
